Exactly which cookies we set, why, and how long they last. Our footprint is deliberately tiny.

A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. This notice lists every cookie and equivalent browser‑storage item Sendie sets, and the one place we keep a first‑party page‑view count. We do not run advertising pixels, retargeting tags, or third‑party analytics trackers, so there is no long table of marketing cookies to wade through.
These are the only cookies and equivalent browser‑storage items Sendie places, plus our one first‑party statistics process. Strictly‑necessary and functional items are exempt from consent under UK PECR / the GDPR because the Service can't function without them — but we list them anyway for transparency. The functional items below are first‑party and can only be removed by clearing your browser storage.
| Name | Category | Purpose | Expiry |
|---|---|---|---|
session |
Strictly necessary | Keeps you securely signed in. HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax. | Session, up to your remember‑me window |
sendie_csrf |
Strictly necessary | Security token that protects you from cross‑site request forgery. | 7 days (refreshed on use) |
sendie_consent |
Strictly necessary | Remembers the cookie choices you make below, so we don't ask again. | 1 year |
sendie_ref |
Functional | Set only if you arrive via a referral link, so we credit the person who referred you. First‑party; not used for advertising. | 30 days |
sendie_vid (local storage) |
Functional | A random first‑party value that lets a voice concierge recognise a returning caller — to greet them and link their conversations to the business's records. No personal data and no IP address; never used for advertising or cross‑site tracking. | Until you clear your browser storage |
sendie_cur (local storage) |
Functional | Remembers your preferred currency so prices show in the right symbol. First‑party; not used for advertising. | Until you clear your browser storage |
| First‑party visit count (no cookie) | Statistics — opt‑in | An anonymous, salted‑hashed page‑view tally we keep on our own servers to understand traffic. No third party sees it. Only runs if you opt in. | Aggregated server‑side; no browser storage |
For comparison, many SaaS sites load a stack of third‑party trackers. We don't. Sendie does not use Google Analytics, Google Ads / DoubleClick, the Meta (Facebook) pixel, LinkedIn or Twitter/X ad tags, Hotjar, Segment, Clearbit, or any cross‑site advertising or fingerprinting tool. If that ever changes — for example if we embed a scheduling or support widget — we'll update this notice and add the relevant toggle before it loads.
When you first visit, a banner lets you accept or reject the optional Statistics category. Strictly‑necessary and functional cookies above are required for the Service to work and are not part of that choice. Nothing optional runs until you opt in, and you can change your mind at any time below or by clearing cookies in your browser settings.
This clears your saved choice and re‑opens the cookie banner so you can choose again.
